Mid & North East Essex Mind
We are thrilled to not only have Mid & North East Essex Mind as our nominated Festival of Business charity but also our charity of the year!
Now, more than ever, it is clear there must be a greater understanding around mental health, especially in the workplace. Employers have a responsibility to ensure their workers feel supported and can access the right help when needed. Mid & North East Essex Mind offer this support to individuals as well as providing award winning training on workplace wellbeing for employers.
An independent mental health charity, the team at Mid & North East Essex Mind work in partnership with other local Minds, NHS and health services, as well as key community organisations and service providers, to reduce health inequalities. Whether a person is stressed, depressed or in crisis their services offer help and support whilst also always respecting the wishes of the individual.
You will have the opportunity to visit them on their stand and also take part in their 'Mental Health Toolkit Taster Session' in the Fairwood Brasserie.
This session introduces you to MN Essex Mind's approach to workplace wellbeing training. It also provides you with fascinating insights into their Emotional Needs & Resources, the causes of stress and mental ill health.
We all have a brain, and we’re all on the mental health continuum. And stress is the crossover point between wellbeing and mental ill health. One in four of us will have a period of mild/moderate mental ill health in any given year. If we can avoid stress as much as possible, we can help prevent mental ill health.
While just a snapshot of 'The Essentials', their half-day training, the 'Introduction to The Mental Health Toolkit' will help you begin to discover more about your Emotional Needs, and the innate resources we have to get them met. This will empower you to start supporting yourself and the people around you.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure the attendance of our advertised speakers, exhibitors, vendors and displays, we cannot be held responsible for any last minute changes.
All timings are approximate and subject to change. We advise arriving as early as possible to avoid queues and missing any speakers or displays.
