Eric Dixon

Eric Dixon has over 35 years’ experience as a presenter, voiceover artist, journalist and media consultant.
 
He has presented programmes and read the news for both BBC Radio 5 Live and the BBC World Service. He also presented London’s only all-news breakfast show on News Direct 97.3FM (now LBC), produced by Reuters and ITN.

Before that he was also a presenter on local BBC and independent radio stations, covering a range of programmes from early morning Breakfast shows to a late-night phone-in.

Eric has also hosted BBC Good Home Show Live, BBC Clothes Show Live, BBC Good Food Live and BBC Top Gear Live as well as the Essex Police Awards.

As a print journalist he has written articles for the Daily Telegraph, The Guardian and The Observer, plus national tabloid newspapers.

In front of the microphone Eric is the voice behind hundreds of TV & radio commercials (including the Homebase TV commercial from 1999 to 2005), corporate videos and audiobooks.

He now coaches journalists and presenters in voice, presentation and interview technique. In addition, his training experience includes media management for some of the world’s largest companies including: Astra Zeneca, Barclays, BAA, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Greene King, JLL, Lloyds Bank, Mitie, NatWest, Northern Rock, Novartis, TSB, Woolwich and Vodafone.

He is married, lives in north Essex, and has a passion for the UK Channel Islands – particularly Guernsey.
